Pathology of adrenal gland is divided into lesion of cortex and medulla. Cortical lesions consist of adrenocortical hyperfunction, adrenal insufficiency and adrenocortical tumour. Common lesions of adrenal medulla are Neuroblastoma and Pheochromocytoma. Neuroblastoma is embryonal neural tumor which usually found in young children. Diseases of thyroid gland can be divided into congenital abnormalities, thyroiditis and tumor. Heterotopic thyroid tissue is a congenital abnormalitiy which usually located at the base of the tongue.
